TUF 25 Cast Revealed
USA Today’s MMAJunkie.com recently revealed the cast for the 25th anniversary season of The Ultimate Fighter known as Redemption. The group features two previous show winners, four former runners-up, and as previously mentioned, a current roster member.
Perhaps the most notable names on the list are fan-favorite Joe “Daddy” Stevenson and active fighter, James Krause (of Lee’s Summit, Missouri.) The 33-16 Stevenson has been fighting on mostly regional shows (in addition to one RFA appearance) since going 0-4 in the UFC between 2010-11.
During his initial run, which dates back to his victory in TUF 2, Stevenson was even in the UFC at 8-8. Between fights, Stevenson appeared a the recurring character of fight coach “Daddy” on the MMA drama Kingdom in 2014.
Krause fought for the now-defunct UFC sister promotion in World Extreme Cagefighting (June-November 2009) and Bellator/ the Titan FC “feeder league” (December 2009-September 2011.) After fighting on RFA’s debut event, he was eliminated during TUF 15: Live’s preliminary round. He returned for RFA 3-6 before his official UFC debut in 2013. Since that time, he has amassed a 4-3 record within the Octagon.
Also on the show this season are Jesse “JT Money” Taylor, a finalist disqualified from competing due to a drunken incident just before season 7’s finale and Dhiego Lima. Lima (1-3 in the UFC, 12-5 overall) is the younger brother of five-year Bellator veteran and current welterweight champion Douglas Lima.
