Freelance: Michael Bisping to Open Gym
UFC Middleweight champion Michael “The Count” Bisping’s new business partner Cub Swanson recently shared some news on Twitter:
"Soooo Myself and @bisping are currently building a@UFCGYM together in Costa Mesa, CA Pre-Sale starts this Monday!!!!"
Champions.co reported that “According to ufcgymfranchise.com, in order to qualify to open a UFC Gym franchise, the base requirements are $350,000 minimum combined liquid assets of all partners, $1 million minimum combined net worth of all and a passion for changing lives through fitness.”
UFC Gym Costa Mesa posted the above-featured image on Instagram, writing, “ENROLLMENT CENTER IS OPEN It has taken so many months and countless hours of planning to get this first stage of our new Costa Mesa gym open. I invite you guys to come down and visit me, say hi, and bring me a coffee. Maybe even buy a new membership. BUY NOW SAVE LATER 2790 Harbor Blvd, Costa Mesa 92626(657) 215-4700 (sic)”
Just how big of a role both men will play in the day-to-day operations of the new venture is being speculated as both are still a UFC competitors, with Bisping making his first title defense against Dan “Hendo” Henderson in on October 8. He is also a television analyst for the UFC.
Bisping wrote on his official Facebook page, “Excited about this new part of my life.”
